Instant (Tinted) or Gradual (Untinted)?

Decisions, decisions!  It basically comes down to, would you like to look tanned immediately? If your answer is “yes” then use an Instant (tinted) product.  Gradual (untinted) products do not include a bronzer and are clear solutions.

Instant (Tinted):

Instant or tinted products deliver an immediate tanned look whilst the active ingredients (DHA and Erythrulose) begin to create your tan within the first 1 to 2 hours.  The full intensity of the tan will develop over 6 to 8 hours.

Gradual (Untinted):

Gradual products are untinted clear solutions, you won’t see an initial difference to the color of your skin.  Your tan will start to develop after an hour or two and continue to deepen over the next 6 to 8 hours.  Some Caribbean Tan fans prefer using an untinted lotion because it feels light, non-sticky and dries more quickly.

Both Instant and Gradual products contain DHA and Erythrulose the active ingredients that work together to deliver a tan that lasts longer and fades more evenly. Not all self tan lotions include Erythrulose because it’s expensive but we think the benefits are worth it!

#nicetoknow…if you are trying out a self tan for the first time it may be easier to use a tinted product.  The tint acts as a color guide making it easy to see where you have applied the lotion.
